What is the Love Lamasco Positive Impact Fund?
The Positive Impact Fund is money awarded directly to Lamasco neighbors of all backgrounds who have ideas for projects they can do to make a positive impact on the quality of life in the Lamasco Neighborhood. Projects are reviewed, approved, and funded by residents of the Lamasco Neighborhood in partnership with Renew Christian Church and other neighborhood stakeholders.
1. ENVISION a way you can make a POSITIVE IMPACT in Lamasco. Neighbors are encouraged to consider projects that connect strategically to the Love Lamasco Action Plan (LoveLamasco.com), leverage collaboration (neighbors, businesses, and organizations working together), and inspire others to make a Positive Impact!
2. SUBMIT THE APPLICATION by Monday, August 11. Complete and submit your applications online at LoveLamasco.com. Paper applications can be submitted in person at the Love Lamasco events, Renew Christian Church, or by emailing Kelli@LoveLamasco.org. A Selection Team made up of Lamasco Neighbors and Stakeholders will review applications. Applicants may be asked to give a brief presentation to the Selection Team (2-4 minutes) and answer questions about their projects.
3. AWARDS will be announced and distributed on Sunday, September 14. Awards will be announced and distributed at the Love Lamasco Neighborhood Porch Fest on Sunday, September 14. In addition, awardees will be informed of the decision by phone or email.
4. CELEBRATE THE POSITIVE IMPACTS of the Impact Projects! A brief report describing results is required no later than 9 months after funds are distributed. Pictures of your project must be included with the report.
Lamasco neighbors have the power and ability to create the change they want to see in the neighborhood! When neighbors are connected, we can leverage each other’s experiences, knowledge, abilities, talents, skills, and passions to make a positive impact. The Positive Impact Fund allows residents of the Lamasco Neighborhood to receive direct financial investments to accomplish their neighborhood-focused projects.
